The Allied Health Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe (AHPCZ) is the statutory body responsible for regulating allied health professionals in Zimbabwe, including psychologists, under the Allied Health Practitioners Act (Chapter 27:15).

3. Verification Process

ZimDigiPsych implements a rigorous verification process for all psychologists:

• Review of academic credentials and qualifications
• Confirmation of current practicing certificate status
• Regular re-verification (annually or as required by AHPCZ)
• Immediate suspension of accounts if registration lapses

4. Professional Standards and Ethics

4.1 Code of Conduct

All practitioners on our platform must adhere to the AHPCZ Code of Conduct, including:

• Maintaining professional competence and expertise
• Practicing within scope of qualification and training
• Respecting client dignity and autonomy
• Maintaining appropriate professional boundaries

4.2 Confidentiality

In accordance with AHPCZ guidelines, psychologists must:

• Only breach confidentiality when legally required or to prevent serious harm

4.3 Informed Consent

Practitioners must obtain informed consent from clients regarding:

• Nature and purpose of treatment
• Potential risks and benefits
• Alternative treatment options
• Confidentiality limits and exceptions
• Use of electronic health records
• Fees and payment arrangements

5. Clinical Record Keeping

In compliance with AHPCZ requirements, our EHR system ensures:

8. Complaints and Disciplinary Procedures

If you have concerns about a psychologist's conduct:

• Serious professional misconduct will be reported to AHPCZ
• You may also file a complaint directly with AHPCZ

9. Scope of Practice

Psychologists on our platform practice within their defined scope as registered with AHPCZ:

• Clinical Psychology
• Counselling Psychology
• Educational Psychology
• Industrial/Organizational Psychology
• Research Psychology

Practitioners may only provide services within their registered category and areas of competence.

10. Data Protection and Privacy

In addition to AHPCZ requirements, we comply with:

• Zimbabwe's Cyber Security and Data Protection Act
• International best practices for health data security
• GDPR principles where applicable
• Regular security audits and updates

11. Advertising and Representation

All advertising and promotional materials comply with AHPCZ guidelines:

• Truthful and accurate representation of qualifications
• No false or misleading claims
• Appropriate use of professional titles
