Educational Psychology

Understanding how your child learns — and how to help.

Educational psychology focuses on how children and young people learn, and on removing the barriers that get in the way. Our educational psychologists provide assessments and guidance for learners, families and schools.

How we can help

  • Psychoeducational assessment for learning difficulties
  • School placement and readiness guidance
  • Exam concession assessments
  • Support planning with schools and families

Assessment with a purpose

Our assessments do more than describe difficulties — they lead to practical, realistic recommendations that schools and families can act on. Where appropriate we provide reports for exam boards and schools.

What to expect

  1. 1A consultation to understand the learner’s history and current concerns.
  2. 2A structured psychoeducational assessment using recognised tools.
  3. 3A written report with clear, actionable recommendations and a feedback session.

Do you work with schools directly?+

Yes. With your consent we liaise with schools to share findings and support the implementation of recommendations.
