Child, Adolescent & Family Services
Helping children, teens and families thrive.
Children and teenagers experience the world differently from adults, and they need support that meets them where they are. Our psychologists work with young people and their families on emotional, behavioural and developmental concerns.
What we help with
- Behavioural and emotional difficulties
- Anxiety and low mood in children and teens
- School-related concerns
- Family conflict and communication
- Adjustment to change, loss or trauma
- Support alongside ASD and ADHD assessments
Working with the whole family
We involve parents and caregivers as partners. Depending on the young person’s age and needs, support may combine individual sessions, family therapy, and guidance for parents.
What to expect
- 1An initial meeting with parents/caregivers, and with the young person as appropriate.
- 2A plan tailored to the child’s age, needs and strengths.
- 3Ongoing sessions with regular feedback to caregivers, with the young person’s consent respected.
