1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using ZimDigiPsych ("Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.

These terms apply to all users, including clients, psychologists, and visitors to the platform.

2. Description of Service

ZimDigiPsych is a digital mental health platform that connects clients with licensed psychologists in Zimbabwe. Our services include:

  • Online therapy sessions via video conferencing
  • Appointment scheduling and management
  • Electronic health records (EHR) system for psychologists
  • Secure messaging between clients and psychologists
  • Mental health assessments and resources

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To use our services, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3.2 Account Security

  • You are responsible for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Do not share your login credentials with others
  • Use a strong, unique password

3.3 Psychologist Accounts

Psychologists must provide valid professional credentials and maintain current registration with the Allied Health Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe (AHPCZ).

4. Professional Relationship

4.1 Therapeutic Relationship

The relationship between clients and psychologists on this platform is a professional therapeutic relationship governed by ethical guidelines and professional standards.

4.2 Not Emergency Services

IMPORTANT: ZimDigiPsych is not designed for emergency mental health situations. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact:

4.3 Platform Limitations

ZimDigiPsych is a platform connecting clients with psychologists. We do not provide medical or psychological advice directly. All professional services are provided by licensed, independent psychologists.

5. Fees and Payment

  • Fees for services are set by individual psychologists
  • Payment is required before or at the time of service
  • All fees are in USD unless otherwise specified
  • Refund policies are determined by individual psychologists
  • ZimDigiPsych may charge platform fees for facilitating services

6. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Appointment cancellation and rescheduling policies:

  • Clients should provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations
  • Late cancellations may result in fees as determined by the psychologist
  • Psychologists will make reasonable efforts to provide notice of schedule changes
  • Missed appointments without notice may result in full charges

7. Confidentiality

Psychologists are bound by professional confidentiality standards. However, confidentiality may be breached in situations including:

  • Imminent risk of harm to self or others
  • Suspected child abuse or neglect
  • Court orders or legal requirements
  • As required by AHPCZ regulations

8. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any illegal purposes
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Impersonate others or provide false information
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the platform
  • Share or distribute confidential information
  • Use automated systems to access the platform without permission

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of ZimDigiPsych are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform without explicit permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZimDigiPsych and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the platform.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of information on the platform.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ZimDigiPsych from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the platform or violation of these terms.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

  • Violation of these terms
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Extended inactivity
  • Any reason we deem necessary to protect our users or platform

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your access to the platform will cease, but certain provisions of these terms will survive.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Zimbabwe. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Zimbabwe.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
